Here is a picture of a meteor that was visible for several minutes over Auckland, New Zealand, as it entered the Earth's atmosphere last night on December 3rd. The fireball occurred near sunset which lead to a beautiful display. It is estimated that the size of this chunk of space rock was about the size of a car wheel.
