Flaming Baseballs from Space

I have been quite busy with my real job so it has been tough finding time to write. But here is a little tidbit I came across. At tonight's baseball game (4/16/08) the ceremonial first pitch will be tossed from the International Space Station.

The pitch will be made by a Dr. Reisman, life long Yankees fan who currently resides on the space station. He brought along a patch of dirt from the pitchers mound for the big event. It is unknown who at what Dr. Reisman will toss the ball. Possibly towards earth?

This will be the first time in history that a first pitch from space will be made at Yankee Stadium. It most likely will be the last, as the stadium is to be replaced by next season.
