How to Report a UFO

Thousands of UFO sightings are made each month. There is a place to make sure that your UFO sighting does not get lost in the shuffle...

Late One Night... 
It is late at night and you are outside peering up at the night sky. Suddenly, a flash of light whizzes across the sky. It was not a fireball, and you are sure that it was not a meteorite. Quite possibly, you have just sighted your first unidentified flying object, otherwise know as a UFO. Frantically, you think to yourself about what you just saw. You try to come up with some sort of explanation. Was your sighting on a man made or naturally occurring phenomena? What you saw zipping across the sky does not seem to fit with any phenomena that you are aware of. So, just where do you go to make a report that you have made a UFO sighting? Perhaps there are others who saw the same thing, and you want to see if there is some sort of an explanation.

Where Do You Report a UFO Sighting 
Do you call 911? The local newspaper? A local military base? These are all good places to start, but how can you be sure that your UFO sighting will be taken seriously? Will your UFO sighting be corroborated with other sources if your report is only made within the local area? Will any of these official entities even take your UFO sighting seriously?

National UFO Reporting Center will accept your UFO Sighting Report 
There is an organization that will accept your report and may even offer a possible explanation. This is the National UFO Reporting Center. The National UFO Reporting Center keeps a comprehensive online database that you can use to compare your the description from your sighting with other UFO sightings that are reported.

You can call in your report on their telephone hot-line, or you can send in information about your UFO sighting via their online web interface. Be prepared to provide detailed information about your report, like location, time of day, and a detailed description of what you saw. Make note of direction and speed at which the UFO moving. If you provide a credible report about your UFO sighting, it just may make it into their national UFO reports database.

It takes about a month for your UFO sighting report to be available for online viewing, after it has gone through a review process. If your UFO sighting was was seen by others, you just may see some matching UFO sightings in the national database!
