Meteor Hits a Bar in Colorado Springs

Sittin' at the bar, having a beer. All of a sudden BOOM! and the roof opens up with a four inch hole opens up in the roof and something crashes in. This is exactly what happened at a bar in West Colorado Springs, Colorado At the Red Rock Lounge at about 11:30 PM, something crashed into the roof and opened up the 4 inch gash. The article linked below says that this occurred 5 days ago, which would place the event at around New Years.

What that something was, has everyone guessing. It could have been a meteor, or it could have been a chunk of ice fallen from an aircraft. If this was New Years Eve, then it may have been a stray gunfire. There are no signs that the hole was caused by a gunshot from inside the bar, but it could be from outside the bar as New Years celebrations were in full swing.

A local meteorite hunter sifted through the ceiling tiles and the attic of the bar hoping to find something. Interesting that a bullet has not been found either. Another theory is that it could have been a lightning strike, but no thunderstorms were in the area.
